CNN-How to make data look sexy

I for one am not a fan of stats BUT I do realize how important statistics is for any job.

I really enjoyed this article on "How to make data look sexy." I think the reason why I find stats uninteresting is that the graphs we look at in university are boring histograms and scatter plots with no thoughtful presentation.

I thought that the article had some good points that I will bear in mind when putting together a graph or data of sorts in the future.

"Today, visualization has the potential to become a mass medium. Engagement -- grabbing and keeping the attention of a viewer -- is the key to its broader success. The clearest, most precise graphic in the world communicates nothing if nobody looks at it.

This isn't to say that clarity and precision have lost their importance, or that we're advocating a license to be tacky. Nobody wants a mindless pursuit of attention that leaves the information landscape looking like Times Square."

"When a visualization can be shared and discussed, it draws more interest. At the same time, a conversation can lead to a deeper understanding of the data as people ask questions and discuss interpretations."

I'm going to use the word love here because I LOVE Ashley's jeans. The way they fit and hug her hips is perfect. I am really picky about washes, but this light wash is great for spring and Ashley's outfit is just so cutesy. The Olsen twins are petite like me so I am thinking these jeans will fit me perfectly! :)

Black Dress, Bold Lips

The product names suit the pinks very well! I was making kissy faces all night because my lips felt like being sassy.

I decided on bold lips to go along with my black dress and heels. I usually don't wear all black but this was my way of adding a pinch of colour.

These are my real lashes FYI, with 3 coats of my favourite Covergirl mascara!

Flaming Cappuccino in La Habana, Cuba

J.Lee and I had a chance to try a flaming cappuccino which was something we HAD TO TRY according to our tour guide. It was done by burning coffee beans and flaming coffee liqueur, complete with a singing barista. Well worth 3 pesos!
